2026 Community Peacebuilder Award

The Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center Community Peacebuilder Award honors an individual, group, or organization who has demonstrated a commitment to peacebuilding by making an impact in multiple ways which could include:  

  • Creatively preventing and/or resolving a conflict  

  • Promoting reconciliation and healing  

  • Strengthening community  

  • Building understanding between divergent people or groups  

  • Contributing to increased peace, collaboration, and trust  

  • Developing and improving civil discourse and civic harmony  

Wenatchee Valley DRC seeks diverse nominations representative of our entire community.  Nominees may include youth, elders, volunteers and programs from multiple sectors – the arts, education, healthcare, neighborhoods, environment, public service, and more.    

Preference will be given to an individual, group, or organization who has made an impact in Chelan and/or Douglas County.  Current DRC staff and volunteers are not eligible.  

The recipient of the 2026 Community Peacebuilder Award will be recognized at the Wenatchee Valley DRC Annual Celebration on October 1, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Debbie Sperry & Lance Noell were recognized as the recipients of the 2025 Community Peacebuilder Award at the Annual Celebration on October 2, 2025 at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center.

Bob Mark was recognized as the recipient of the 2024 Community Peacebuilder Award at the Annual Celebration on September 3, 2024 at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center.
