Why It Works

Mediation works because each party involved is fully heard and their concerns and needs are met and addressed through the settlement agreement they reach. It is their own agreement, not one created or imposed by others. It is therefore much more likely to be a lasting settlement than if imposed by a court, hearing officer or arbitrator.
