Lynn Yialelis, M.Ed, B.A.

Originally from northeastern Ohio, Lynn arrived in the Wenatchee Valley in 1991 after spending time in Montana, California, and Arizona. She began her professional career as an educator; a field where she spent time as a classroom teacher as well as an administrator. She became interested in Interest Based Negotiation as the Chair of her Teacher's Association Contract Negotiation Team. During that time Lynn received training in the areas of team building, negotiation, and conflict resolution. She also received her Basic Mediation Training in 2002. It was during this time that Lynn came to understand the value of working together to resolve conflict in a manner where interests are met and the outcome is a win/ win for everyone involved.

After leaving the field of education, Lynn pursued her internship to become a certified mediator, and worked to found the Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center. She received her training and did internship work with the Okanogan County Dispute Resolution Center, Benton Franklin Dispute Resolution Center, and the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, and received certification with the Benton Franklin and Okanogan County Dispute Resolution Centers. Lynn went on to become a Washington Mediation Association (WMA) certified mediator and a WMA Practicum Supervisor. She has achieved recognition for Wenatchee Valley DRC as a WMA Practicum Approved site.

As Executive Director, Lynn is responsible for all of the day to day operations of the center. As the Practicum Supervisor she is responsible for all of the training and the internship program.
