After leaving the field of education, Lynn pursued her internship to become a certified mediator, and worked to found the Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center. She received her training and did internship work with the Okanogan County Dispute Resolution Center, Benton Franklin Dispute Resolution Center, and the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, and received certification with the Benton Franklin and Okanogan County Dispute Resolution Centers. Lynn went on to become a Washington Mediation Association (WMA) certified mediator and a WMA Practicum Supervisor. She has achieved recognition for Wenatchee Valley DRC as a WMA Practicum Approved site.
